For years my loyal readers have listened to me wax poetic about how “some day I will publish a cookbook.” It has been a real dream of mine for more than a few years now, but I have really slacked off and quite frankly dropped the ball waiting for an ideal opportunity to show up at my doorstep. While I have had legit offers to do “diet specialty” books, I ultimately took a pass because I struggled with not wanting to be caught up in a label or temporary trend. Although we do tend to fluctuate with our eating styles, I wanted to publish something that felt less like a sales pitch and more like something I would be proud to share with friends and family. In a saturated market where anyone and everyone is publishing, I struggled with the reality of being just another drop in the bucket until one day I was inspired. Inspired by some of my followers, and inspired by some of the questions I get from day to day.
I compiled these real food recipes that are attainable and realistic for normal people, especially families with picky eaters. This book is a mixed tape of some of our favorite every day recipes. Wholesome Every Day is not intended to be a nutrition bible, but more of a tour guide for those of us who want to eat well, while juggling hectic lives. These gimmick free recipes are meant to be lasting, fad-free recipes that are consistent and nourishing. Enjoy, and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments!
